This is a basic pass and cut offense that caters to youth basketball teams. This type of offense ensures constant movement and good spacing for the players on the floor. There are no set positions for each player so this allows every player to play every position.
Some points to keep in mind:
– All the time when a player passes, cut towards the person with the ball to the basket to the opposite corner of the court
-The purpose of cutting is to get open so cut in front of the defense to the open areas for easy, open shots
-When a player cuts, make eye contact with the passer because you never know when you will be open while cutting!
-If a player is in the corner and makes a pass back to the wing, the corner player will NOT make a cut through the key, but rather cut towards the basket and then pop back out again to the same corner
Good Luck! 🙂
